The MLB season has reached its midway point and the odds to win the American League and National League pennants are out. The AL has three groups that have retreated from the pack in the Houston Astros (+220), Boston Red Sox (+235) and New York Yankees (+275). The NL is a whole lot tighter with four nightclubs holding similar odds to clinch the pennant. Those teams are the Chicago Cubs (+330), Los Angeles Dodgers (+400), Atlanta Braves (+650) and Philadelphia Phillies (+650).
Even though there are other teams from the AL that can competition for the pennant, I think that it’s a three-horse race and there’s one that has the edge over others. As for the NL, the four clubs already mentioned are definitely worth a bet, but there might be a few other teams providing adequate price.
Here’s my pick for the AL out of the big three along with also my two sleeper picks outside of the top four teams in the NL.
