Joe Root: I’m the right man to lead England’s Test cricket team

Joe Root has insisted he is still the man to take England’s cricket team forward regardless of criticism of his own captaincy.
During the Ashes, Test captain Root scored 325 runs in 32.5, the third most runs out of an England player and the sixth most complete.
He also took three wickets at 40.66 and created seven grabs, with only wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow producing more for the hosts.
However his batting has endured and Australia retained the Ashes but Root insists he is the correct man to lead the aspect in future.
He said:”I need to be 100 per cent. I love it.
“I am really honoured to captain England and I wish to take this team forward.
“I truly do think I am the right person to take action. Hopefully I can find the financing and that I can prove everyone .”
The Yorkshire batsman confessed the famous plan to turn on their game of England, this summertime, culminating in their World Cup win that was spectacular, had to be replicated in red-ball cricket.
He continued:”Winning the Ashes rear is really a gigantic attention for English cricket, so it has to be today.

T20 along with one-day vice-captain Jos Buttler stated the team already had the hallmarks of the captaincy of Root.
“Joe’s put his stamp on the group ! He has been for a short time. Obviously we want more consistent results but we have got the makings of an excellent team.”
Bowler Stuart Broad added:”You just need to check at Joe’s captaincy album, and it is more effective than most England captains. The players have been well aware we can be more consistent, and we’ll deliver that.”
