In-form Marcus Forss netted a hat-trick to flame AFC Wimbledon into a 4-1 win Southend.
The Brentford forward has now scored seven goals in six Sky Bet League One games.
Along with also the 20-year-old took just five minutes as he fired home a right-footed shot that was deflected from 12 metres to start the scoring in Roots Hall.
Six minutes later, Forss scored his second objective of the match, netting from close range following a goalmouth scramble.
The Shrimpers were unable to find an equaliser, although southend responded instantly, with Timothee Dieng heading home Nathan Ralphs left-wing cross.
Wimbledon hit back after the break and made it 3-1 at the 52nd minute, using Forss slamming home a penalty after Ryan Delaney had been brought down by Rob Kiernan.
The Dons stayed on top and extended their lead in the 72nd minute, when Ryan Delaney led home Max Sanders corner seal the Dons first away win of the year.
