In-form Marcus Forss netted a hat-trick to fire AFC Wimbledon to a 4-1 win at fellow strugglers Southend.
The on-loan Brentford forwards has scored seven goals in six Sky Bet League One games.
And also the 20-year-old took just five minutes because he fired home a right-footed taken that was deflected from 12 yards to open the scoring at Roots Hall.
Six minutes later, Forss scored his second aim of the game.
Southend replied with Timothee Dieng heading home Nathan Ralph cross, but the Shrimpers were unable to find an equaliser.
Wimbledon hit back after the break and also made it at the 52nd minute, together with Forss slamming home a penalty after Rob Kiernan had brought down Ryan Delaney.
The Dons stayed on the top and extended their lead in the 72nd minute, when Ryan Delaney headed house Max Sanders corner seal the Dons first away win of the year.
