Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is the new favourite after beating him this weekend to take over from Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham.
A spate of stakes are put on the Northern Irishman taking control at White Hart Lane following Pochettino, sending his price from the market .
Just three days before, Rodgers had been 8/1 to triumph the Argentine in the North London club, although that’s been slashed into 7/2, which makes him the clear favorite.
Around 36 percent of all bets in the past 24 hours have endorsed Rodgers to carrying more than Pochettino, making him by far the very backed in the marketplace.
Meaning preceding favorite, Jose Mourinho, whose chances have slid from 3/1 out to 9/2 is overtaken by him.
Elsewhere, Massimiliano Allegri chimes in as the favorite for the project.
Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique follows next at 9/1, followed by Rafa Benitez (10/1), Thomas Tuchel (16/1), Diego Simeone (33/1) and Carlo Ancelotti (33/1).
Pochettino (10/1) is now the third favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post, now ahead of the likes of Steve Bruce (16/1).
The 2-1 defeat of tottenham has caused a small dip in their odds for various Premier League markets, drifting from 33/1 outside to 75/1 to win the jackpot.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson:”Moving into Pochettino’s sixth season in Spurs, arriving fresh from the Champions League final and really producing some worthwhile additions to a badly depleted squad — few could anticipate the Argentine to be under this much pressure just six games into this year.
“But it appears he is, and also punters think that Brendan Rodgers would be the man to take more than him if he can decide to leave.
“Rodgers’ Foxes side have been cut out of 18/1 pre-season into only 5/1 to complete with a Champions League spot, exemplifying exactly how good a job he’s doing at the King Power Stadium. This is certainly one to keep your eye on.”
