The NFL Year will begin on Thursday night when the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field, exclusively live on Sky Sports Action and Main Event.
Here is what to expect…
Green Bay (6-9-1 final year ) eventually forced a head coaching change in the end of last season after 13 decades of Mike McCarthy and his offense which had plenty of success but finally become stale and predictable. Among a complete team of studs, there’s Khalil Mack. In a year’s opener against the Pack, he managed one recovery, one forced fumble, one sack, an interception and a touchdown. Plus, he added 2.5 sacks in the return fixture. He could win the match for Chicago.
The all-time series record between these two is 97-95-6 in favour of the Packers. Last year, the spoils were shared 1-1 with both teams winning at home by one score. These teams are hard to separate.
But we are seeking for the new Green Bay offense and they will take care of the pass-rush that is wonderful, handling linebackers and sturdy secondary of Chicago.
Rodgers was stifled – 42 moves were thrown by him with zero touchdowns, just 25 completions and one pick – and was shot five times. Top rusher Jamaal Williams managed 55 yards on the floor also.
LaFleur’s assault – and he calls the match against this protection – will be the secret to the matchup.
