A powerful typhoon forming to the south east of Japan which could bring winds and rain is being monitored by the organisers of the Rugby World Cup and Formula 1 bosses.
Japans Meteorological Agency (JMA) states Typhoon Hagibis is predicted to reach the maximum degree of allabusive.
The JMA included:It may be the most powerful to hit Japan this year.
World Rugby says its heading at anorth-westerly direction and can deliver disruption to southern Japan.
The typhoon is known to hit on the island of Kyushu.
There are two fittings on the island over the weekend – a potentially key match for Ireland against Samoa on Saturday, while Wales face Uruguay in Kumamoto on Sunday.
World Rugby insists its arobust contingency plan in place if the adverse weather impact tournament fixtures.
