Jadon Sancho has teamed up to help launch a soccer pitch in south London in the hope of others.
Sancho, who increased at Kennington and was born in Camberwell, played a role in the initiative to help boost centers in south London.
Growing up in Kennington has left me the man I am now; I owe a great deal to South London for bettering the way I play, Sancho said. I am hoping the regional kids feel empowered to share their stories through soccer and follow in my footsteps – this pitch being only the ignition point
As the home of the Lambeth Tigers, a football team for young people aged six to 18, the pitch will offer the regional footballers of SE11 access to the very best facilities possible.
David Marriott and Jamahl Jarrett equally grew up on a nearby estate and the 2 coaches assisted with the founding of this team and explained the pitch assanctuary for kids.
Theres a real need for secure places for all these children to play , said Jarrett. A pitch like this is like a refuge for kids, encouraging them to enter soccer in a safe environment. The cool, bright layout is also just like a magnet – its a place where people may wish to get out and play.
The Tigers will use the pitch to help empower football programming and supply regular opportunities through workshops, training and training.
