The MLB season has reached its midway point and the odds to win the American League and National League pennants are outside. The AL has three teams that have retreated from the pack in the Houston Astros (+220), Boston Red Sox (+235) and New York Yankees (+275). The NL is a lot tighter with four nightclubs holding similar chances to clinch the pennant. Those groups are the Chicago Cubs (+330), Los Angeles Dodgers (+400), Atlanta Braves (+650) and Philadelphia Phillies (+650).
Even though there are different teams from the AL that can contest for the pennant, I think it’s a three-horse race and there is one that has the edge over others. As for the NL, the four clubs mentioned are definitely worth a bet, but there might be a couple other teams providing decent price.
Here is my pick for the AL out of the big three along with my two sleeper picks outside the top four teams in the NL.
