Raheem Sterling can become best player in world, says Xavi

Barcelona legend Xavi considers Manchester City ahead Raheem Sterling can turn into the”best in the world” once Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo quit dominating.
Sterling incorporating this term to six and has blossomed Pep Guardiola 25 goals last year.
The midfielder played in the Nou Camp Messi and feels Sterling is to succeed the Argentinian.
Xavi told The Mirror:”Messi and Ronaldo have mastered the best-player-in-the-world awards for so many years now, it is hard to recall a time before them.
“Messi is the best ever for me – and though they’re both still playing at a really substantial level – there’ll come the day not so long away when somebody else needs to step into those shoes.
“You look at young players who can be crowned the future best on earth and you still consider Neymar, Mbappe, Salah, and of course Sterling. I look at the second – and Sterling is winning that race”
24, sterling, burst onto the scene because a teenaged star for Liverpool prior to a silent first few years at City, but he has begun to match his potential since Guardiola took control.
“He’s always been a good player, a dangerous player, but under Pep he has come to be among the best on earth,” added Xavi.
“I understand how Pep operates – he’d have worked closely with him because his birth – in which he needs to improve and everything he had to work on.
“We are now seeing the outcomes of this – he is still young and may function as world’s greatest.”
